Comfortable Connections


Following our franchisee conference on Friday, we were able to take a moment to reflect on exactly how far we've come.

It was an impressive moment of contemplation, and extended into many hours of considered thought. All of our franchisees have developed immensely during their involvement with us, particularly those for whom Brazilian Beauty was a very first business venture.

 

The conference was fun, semi-relaxed, incredibly engaging and very thought-provoking. It’s fantastic having the opportunity to catch up with everyone. The majority of our franchisees have been with us for many years now, so naturally our relationship has progressed from strictly business to something more akin to a close friendship.

It’s a great rapport that we all share. This is reflected in the agenda for the franchisee conference. Leading the discussion was our brand vision – something we surprisingly all see very similarly. We all want the same thing from the brand, and we all have correlating ideals for where we’d like the company to be in the future.

It was interesting discussing local market advertising with our franchisees, as we attempt to encourage all salons to make 2013 the year of brand awareness for Brazilian Beauty. We have so many company-wide marketing initiatives that it was very interesting to examine the unique approaches taken by individual franchises, and their varying success.

Advertising is changing rapidly. Mediums are experiencing a relatively consistent shift from print to online, and now the game is all about digital word-of-mouth. The advantage to working with such a diversified and incredibly talented team of business leaders is that we are able to examine so many options and approaches to advertising. It’s a huge bonus to be able to thrash out ideas with people who share the same passion and focus for the brand as you.

The day was an immense success, and we are all closer for it. I look forward very much to the next occasion when we are all able to be together.
